Know Chapultepec Park Castle -one of the largest and most beautiful city parks in the world situated in the heart of the capital on a virtual walk. Centered around the same-named hill, it’s considered the most important green area of the capital and has a great variety of flora with some trees being over 500 years old. Chapultepec also has great historical importance as it has been inhabited since the Pre-Columbian era when it became a retreat for Aztec rulers. In the colonial period, Chapultepec Castle was built here, eventually becoming the official residence of Mexican heads of state. Currently, it’s one of the most important attractions in Mexico City annually receiving 15 million visitors.
