In the evening, meet your Tour Leader and fellow travelers for a welcome meeting to kick off your adventure. Afterward, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you can begin to immerse yourself in the local cuisine and culture.

Day 2: Chiapa de Corzo - Cañón del Sumidero National Park - Tuxtla Gutiérrez - Puerto Arista

Start your day by leaving Chiapa de Corzo behind and heading to the majestic Sumidero Canyon. Hop on a boat for a scenic ride through this awe-inspiring natural wonder, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery, making it a perfect start to the day.

After the boat tour, we’ll continue to Tuxtla Gutierrez, the regional capital, where you’ll explore its charming historic center. Visit the famous Marimba Museum, where you’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of the marimba, a traditional instrument that plays a vital role in local music.

Next, we’ll travel to Puerto Arista, a peaceful beach town known for its long stretches of golden sand and laid-back vibe. Once there, enjoy the thrill of an ATV ride, taking in the stunning coastal views. In the late afternoon, unwind as you watch a spectacular sunset over the beach.

Day 3: Puerto Arista - Iglesia Vieja Archeological Zone - Finca Argovia - Huixtla

Day 5: Comitán de Domínguez - El Chiflón Waterfalls - Chukumaltik Cenote - Lagunas de Montebello National Park

In the morning, visit the famous archeological site of Bonampak. Once there, learn about this enigmatic ancient place located in the middle of Lancandon Jungle in the state of Chiapas. After that, go to explore the ancient ruins of Yaxchilán Archeological Zone famous for the important Mayan texts found there. Then, transfer to Palenque, one of the Magical Towns in Mexico. It’s a paradise for lovers of archaeology, history, and nature. Eventually, after check-in and rest, join your Tour Leader and the rest of the group for an orientation walk of the center of Palenque followed by an optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.

Next, transfer to San Cristobal de las Casas, a Magical Town known for its colonial charm and vibrant traditions. Once there, take some time to rest before an orientation walk through the town’s charming historic center.

Day 9: San Cristóbal de las Casas  - Zinacantán - San Juan Chamula - San Cristóbal de las Casas

Wake up and experience a 1200-year-old Mayan ceremony with a temazcal, a traditional therapeutic steam bath that dates back to pre-Hispanic times, known for its detoxifying benefits.

Next, visit Zinacantán, a Tzotzil village famous for its traditional textiles, fruits, flowers, and unique handicrafts. Take in the colorful sights of this cultural gem before heading to San Juan Chamula, another self-governing Mayan village, where the local traditions thrive.

Upon arrival in San Juan Chamula, explore the mysterious church, known for its fascinating religious syncretism, where indigenous beliefs blend with Catholicism. Witness this remarkable fusion of cultures and beliefs.
