Itinerary
Begin the Tula Tour as the morning sun peeks over the horizon, and your guide awaits to lead you into the mystical realm of the Teotihuacan Archaeological Zone. Step foot in a UNESCO World Heritage site that echoes the stories of ancient times. Admire the towering Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, standing proud against the sky. Traverse the fabled Avenue of the Dead, feeling the wind of the ancient city. Be dazzled at the exquisite stone-built Quetzalpapalotl Palace and other remnants of this once-flourishing Mesoamerican culture.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there! Our journey continues as we venture to Tula, a forgotten gem steeped in history. Delve into the heart of the Toltec Empire, where monumental stone warriors, known as the Atlantes, guard the ancient secrets of this powerful city. Explore the remains of majestic temples and intricate stone reliefs that depict gods, warriors, and sacred creatures, offering a glimpse into the Toltec worldview. The mystical atmosphere of Tula will captivate your imagination as you uncover its long-buried history.
Visit the Temple of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, dedicated to the god of the morning star, and see intricate reliefs and carvings that depict Toltec deities and rituals. The sheer scale of these ruins will transport you back in time to when the Toltecs were at the peak of their power, dominating much of northern and central Mesoamerica.
As the day draws to a close, we return to Mexico City, where we’ll visit the National Museum of Anthropology—one of the most important museums in Latin America. Here, you’ll encounter artifacts from ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs, Mayans, and Olmecs. Admire the famous Aztec Sun Stone, a massive calendar stone that reveals the complex cosmology of the Aztec people. Explore Mayan jade jewelry, Olmec stone heads, and countless other pieces that showcase the incredible craftsmanship and cultural significance of Mexico’s ancient societies.
After a full day of history, exploration, and awe-inspiring discoveries, return to our vehicle and relax as we journey back to your accommodation, leaving you with a deep connection to the mystical past of Mexico’s ancient civilizations.
