Cancellation factors: As we know, the weather is a factor that can lead us to modify our day. Sometimes we will have to change location, re-schedule, and cancel (the refund will be issued 100% in case of cancellation by us). You will be informed of the options, and you will make the decision. Factors that could influence this are rain, high swell, wind, and jellyfish.
Notes: If you’d like to take someone with you who would not be participating in the surf lesson, additional rates apply (48 USD per pax). Please contact the local tour operator upon booking to pay for this directly at least 24 hr before the day of the tour.

Rey was very detailed in providing the instructions on what to do and not to do in regards to riding. He was explicit about allowing the horse to lead us, even if or when we became uncertain.To be outdoors with nature, on a horse, with a guide that was so in tune with his craft and knowledge of the history, was remarkable.After the ride, we walked over to Mismaloya Beach, and we were in for more of a surprise. All of the locals were so welcoming. Rey and his wife Empress were greeted like superstars, which is a testament of their relationship with them. The tour ended with a conversation no one expected, but each walked away with such a profound respect and understanding of each other's personal history.
An amazing tour with a world-class tour guide. It was new year day 2023 and there was some miscommunication with the head office. Rey didn't expect us. Instead of turning us away, Rey rushed to the assembly point and professionally conducted the tour. Rey is not just a tour guide, but a great philosopher and role model for those of us who would like to live on purpose and believe in empowerment. He is fully of energy, from showing us the wild life to flying drone with all kind of stories to tell including aerospace tools & technologies. He stayed extra late and going above and beyond to help us with a little anomaly we had and get us home safe for which I will never forget his kindness and professionalism - thank you, Rey!!! Next time we come visit Puerto Vallarta, dinner is on us! Wish you continued successes.
Our tour with Rey was certainly the highlight of our trip. The tour was much more than just a horseback riding trip. Rey really made it more of an experience of what the area has to offer.I would like to point out, Rey is an American now living in Mexico with his lovely Wife and he enjoys showing others what magic he has found in the PV area.Rey made sure everyone was comfortable (1st time rider) and felt safe. We all (Wife and 10-year-old Daughter) had so much fun and thoroughly enjoyed Rey's sense of humor and interesting informative stories.I HIGHLY recommend Rey and his tour.
The best tour in PV. Forgot touristy booze cruises or bus tours, this is the way to see authentic Mexico. Four of us (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed our day with Rey. He instantly felt like an old friend and we all enjoyed connecting with him throughout the day. Most of us hadn’t ridden a horse and weren’t exactly sure what to do but Rey gave us a lesson and was at ease with the horses we all felt calm and confident that we too could ride a horse. Lots of surprises on the way! Thanks again!!
I was so fortunate to find out about this tour and to meet Rey and Empress. What a wonderful couple. They helped provide the perfect end, with whipped cream and a cherry on top, to a wonderful vacation.Rey gave an informative lesson on horseback riding basics, that was very helpful for a relative newbie like me, before we even got on the horse.Riding along the jungle trail was so soothing and was off the beaten tourist path.Here's some suggestions for you on this tour:Make sure you get an early start, so you can enjoy the beach and a massage after the tour, in my opinion.Make sure you stretch your legs, if you don't ride on the regular.You may want to wear closed toed shoes so you don't have to worry about your shoes falling off.There's other surprises along the way, and I don't want to spoil them for you!
Rey was amazing! Horses were healthy and well cared for. Rey took the time to explain horse behavior to beginners and how to ride properly. Had an amazing trip through the jungle. Very relaxing and fun. Couldn't recommend more!

Had a fantastic trip to the beach at Quimixto! Rey Spearo and his lovely wife drove us to the pier at La Boca and after a thrilling boat ride we swam and rode horses through the beautiful trails behind the beach. Food and drink was available in abundance and was excellent. I haven’t ridden a horse in many years but Rey was a very capable guide who insured that I had excellent assistance from the skilled horse whisperer, Nacho! Rey is very knowledgeable with an engaging style that made us all happy and comfortable! I highly recommend this outing for memories that are beyond compare!
I spent 3 weeks in puerto vallarta and this was by far my favorite experience. Getting out of PV and visiting a small authentic village where people were friendly and welcoming was just the start. The moment I met Rey I felt like I was meeting up with an old friend. Then came Hercules, my horse for the journey. My brain immediately said I can't do this! But Rey assured me Herc was a good boy and gave me the 101 on riding this amazing beast.For the first few moments it did seem like Hercules's steering linkage was loose, but Rey said na... it's you, he knows you're a substitute teacher. This worked out well for my boy as he steered himself towards green leafy snacks along the trail. What i couldn't believe was how many life lessons there were riding a horse through a breezy jungle trail. The lunch, the river, the visit to the beach for the world's best lemonade at the end of the ride.. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. If you are in PV try this out! The one and only drawback was, I couldn't keep the horse...
GREAT EXPERIENCE, I’ve never rode a horse before and my experience with Rey was Amazing..10/10 ..I would 100% recommend , he’s an amazing person !!
