Reviews
Our guide Luis was excellent!! He took us off the beaten path, which we loved especially the great lunch spot!!
What I really enjoyed was the personal touch our tour guide provided. Jose Luis Soto was our tour guide and he tailored our tour for our needs. He was fantastic and I highly recommend him. This was the highlight our week in Cabo. Do not skip the Pitaya margarita!
My husband and I booked this tour in late October 2022, and it was one of the highlights of our trip!! The number 1 reason would be Maury, our awesome guide! He is such a friendly, energetic, and helpful person, and honestly aside from the snorkeling, just chatting with him about what living in Mexico is like was my favorite part of the tour!! The tour itself consisted of about a 2-hour drive out to Playa Arbolitos just outside of the national park. The road was dirt most of the time and we saw roadrunners, plenty of cows, and some incredible views along the way. My husband got to drive a little bit which he loved. We hit Playa Arbolitos at a good time because it was pretty empty. The snorkel gear-a mask and flippers-were freshly cleaned. We had almost 2 hours in the water, and it was both my husband's and my favorite part of our trip! The diversity of species in the reef was incredible. We even saw 3 sea turtles (or saw at least one multiple times haha)!!! A completely magical experience. The water was warm and very salty so swimming was easy. Then we headed back out and headed towards a cute taco spot in Miraflores, which is off the typical tourist track. By far the best baja fish tacos we ever had there!! We were back at our AirBnb around 3, very happy and tired from a busy day! This tour rocks, and you should definitely book it, and ask for Maury!!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to do the planned excursion because of bad weather. But our amazing guide, Maury, gave us an amazing and super fun alternative experience! We even had tacos at the best taco place, 1& Only Taco in San Jose! Highly recommend! It proves that being flexible and going with the flow can bring tons of fun and new and unexpected experiences to life!
The team at High Tide were fun, friendly and knowledgeable. We felt like they valued our safety and genuinely wanted us to have a great time. Our guides were Marco, Luis and Maury- these guys were some of the best and had over 40yrs of service in the tourism industry combined. The jeep drive to Cabo Pulmo was gorgeous as expected. The guides gave local history and answered questions along the way. Also we stopped for pics a few times. Jeeps were taken care of, clean and had good AC- which we were Happy about! It was a long drive but enjoyable. Snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo did not disappoint!! We saw lots of fish, eels, slugs. The guys worked hard for our comfort and happiness and we enjoyed their company. The lunch included at Miraflores was delicious! We ate at Los Agaves and had local grown avocados, and fresh caught triggerfish tacos. Felt very authentic and we enjoyed ourselves so much! Our group was 14yrs up to 72yrs, a total of 9 people and some did not snorkel, but enjoyed the beautiful beach at Cabo Pulmo anyways. Would definitely tour with this team again!Note: road was bumpy and twisty and long. If you get car sick, take meds for prevention before. The snorkel site is somewhat remote, which is part of what is great about it. There are showers and bathrooms, and they were usable for sure, but obviously remote ;) You walk straight from the jeep to the beach for snorkeling and it was not too far of a walk. We could all do it, 70yr old knee replacements and all. Maybe 350ft of sand walking. Thanks again to High Tide and to Cabo San Lucas tours for helping us book.
What an amazing place! Cabo Pulmo is a stunningly beautiful, off-the-beaten-path, tropical beach with a calm warm ocean teaming with life (it is a marine reserve). Our guide, Marco, was amazing. Super knowledgeable about the area, relaxed, flexible and interested in us having a good time. From letting me drive the Jeep along the dirt roads (they're pretty good dirt roads but it's still lots of fun) to taking detours to see beautiful towns and vistas like Santiago. The snorkling is incredible but I warn you that you won't want to get out of the sea afterwards it's that wonderful. We had a lovely lunch with the freshest fish tacos I've ever had in Miraflores on the way back. Cannot recommend this trip and our guide Marco enough. Thanks Marco!
Excelente servicio! Nuestro guía Maury súper preparado y paciente, muy agradable y siempre atento. 100% recomendable
We spent the day with our guide, Luis, and had such an incredible time! He picked us up from our Airbnb in Cabo and we headed straight for the East Cape Road to start our journey toward Cabo Pulmo. The Jeep was clean and comfortable, and my husband really enjoyed driving on the dirt roads up the coast. The views are an absolute treat! We snorkeled in Cabo Pulmo and Luis provided all the gear and snacks we needed, including wet suits. So many beautiful fish here right off the beach! On the way back, we stopped at the Tropic of Cancer and in Miraflores for lunch at a great local spot. If you love beautiful beach views, snorkeling, and getting off the beaten path, we highly recommend this tour! It couldn’t have been better :)
