Day 1: Guatemala City
Welcome to the Guatemala Tour! As the largest city in Central America, it seamlessly blends modern influences with traditional Latin American flavors. The city offers a mix of history, culture, and contemporary life. Arrive at any time and take the opportunity to relax or explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, meet your Tour Leader and the rest of the group for a welcome meeting to get an overview of the upcoming journey. Afterward, join the group for an optional dinner and get-together at one of the local restaurants or bars, where you can enjoy some delicious Guatemalan cuisine and begin to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 2: Guatemala City - Quirigua
After a morning tour of Guatemala City, we’ll head towards Quirigua (UNESCO), one of the most ancient Mayan cities in the world. Quirigua is famous for its remarkable 8th-century monuments, including a series of intricately carved stelae and sculpted calendars that showcase the incredible craftsmanship of the ancient Maya. Explore the fascinating ruins, where history and art come together in a stunning display. After the tour, we’ll head to our accommodation in a nearby hotel to relax and unwind. Day 3: Quirigua - Castle of San Felipe de Lara - Finca el Paraiso
After a guided visit to the Quirigua Ruins, we’ll continue our journey to the Castle of San Felipe de Lara (UNESCO), a historical fortification built in 1652 to protect the villages and commercial caravans of Izabal from pirate attacks. Explore this fascinating site and learn about its role in defending the region. Following that, we’ll head to Finca El Paraiso, where you can relax in the natural hot waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery, offering a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Afterward, we’ll check into a nearby hotel for some relaxation. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation before embarking on a walking tour around the town, where you can enjoy the colorful streets, local culture, and stunning views of the lake. Afterward, you’ll have some free time to explore the area at your own pace, whether it’s strolling through the town, relaxing by the lake, or discovering hidden gems nearby.

Day 5: Flores - Tikal - Lanquin
In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to Tikal (UNESCO), one of the most significant sites of the Mayan civilization, nestled deep in the jungle and surrounded by lush vegetation. Explore the ancient ruins, towering temples, and awe-inspiring history of this iconic archaeological site. In the afternoon, after an optional lunch, we’ll continue our journey to Lanquín, a picturesque village located in the deep valleys between the mountains. Lanquín serves as an ideal base to explore the incredible cave systems nearby and visit the stunning natural rock pools of Semuc Champey. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and take part in an orientation walk through the village. You’ll then have free time to explore the area, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 6: Lanquin - Semuc Champey - Uspantán
In the morning, you’ll have the freedom to choose how to spend your time. You can opt to sleep in, explore the nearby Lanquin Caves, swim in the refreshing Salto del Cabro waterfalls, or experience the thrill of tubing down the Lanquin River. In the afternoon, join the group as we head to Semuc Champey, where you can marvel at the stunning stepped limestone pools, filled with cool, flowing river water. Afterward, we’ll take one of the most scenic routes in Guatemala, leading us to the charming town of Uspantán. This peaceful town is nestled in a fertile valley at the base of lush, forested mountains, offering picturesque views at every turn. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and join an orientation walk to explore the town. In the evening, you’ll have the option to enjoy a delicious dinner and socialize with the group.

Day 7: Uspantan - San Jorge La Laguna

Afterward, we’ll head to your accommodation, a welcoming Mayan homestay where you’ll experience authentic local hospitality. Day 8: San Jorge La Laguna - Pacaya Volcano - Antigua Guatemala
In the morning, begin your adventure by heading to Pacaya Volcano, an active volcano standing at 2,552 meters, which has erupted over 23 times since the Spanish arrived in Guatemala. After an easy hike to the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the volcanic activity.
Next, we continue to Antigua Guatemala (UNESCO), a city renowned for its well-preserved Spanish Baroque architecture and the impressive ruins of colonial churches. Once there, take an orientation walk with your group or explore the cobblestone streets, vibrant markets, and beautiful ruins at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy an optional farewell dinner and get-together with your group at one of the local restaurants or bars, where you can reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your journey.
