Itinerary
Wake up for an adventure day with the Frida Kahlo Tour Mexico City! After meeting your guide, we head to Xochimilco, where history and nature meet.
Step aboard a trajinera (traditional boat) and navigate the ancient waterways once used by the Aztecs. Enjoy the festive atmosphere and the sounds of mariachi for a picturesque start to your journey.
Next, we head to the Anahuacalli Museum, an architectural jewel designed by Diego Rivera. Built from dark volcanic stone, this building houses thousands of Mesoamerican artifacts that Rivera carefully curated to honor Mexico’s indigenous roots. Feel the raw artistic energy as your guide explains the deep connection between Rivera’s murals and ancient Mexican culture.
On our way to the south, we stop at the UNAM campus to see the world-famous murals of the Central Library. Then, we arrive at the picturesque Coyoacan neighborhood, a colonial quarter full of hidden plazas and historic charm. Finally, we reach the Casa Kahlo Museum, where the artist’s inner world is revealed through her personal belongings and photographs.
As you walk through the place, you’ll gain insight into the love, politics, and resilience that shaped her voice. We conclude the day in the center of Coyoacan, where you can browse traditional markets before we head back.
