- Try some of the most typical Yucatecan dishes during a buffet-style brunch.
- Leisurely stroll colonial streets of Valladolid and visit its colorful market.
Itinerary
In our Chichen Itza Tour, meet your guide at your accommodation in Riviera Maya and head to the Archaeological Zone, one of the most famous and well-preserved of the Maya sites in Yucatan. Once there, see all the main attractions and get some engaging insights into one of the greatest cities of this pre-Columbian civilization.
Afterward, go for a swim in a nearby Cenote Ik Kil. Measuring 40 meters deep and 60 meters in diameter, it’s arguably one of the most beautiful cenotes in Mexico. The waters of Ik Kil were considered sacred by the Mayans who performed here rituals to their rain god. For instance, evidence of this fact is bones and jewelry found in its deep waters by archaeologists and speleologists.
After a refreshing swim in the cenote and a buffet-style brunch of local specialties, continue to our next stop: Valladolid. Known in the past as the “Sultana of the East”, this colonial city is famous for its quiet streets and colorful pastel walls. There, together with your guide, visit the 16th-century Convent of San Bernardino of Siena, walk in Valladolid’s historic center, and wander through its colorful market.
After a day full of experiences and adventures, return to our vehicle and relax on the way back to your accommodation.

Reviews
We really enjoyed this day trip even though it was very long (13 hours). Our tour guide, Pastor, was knowledgeable and entertaining. We liked the variety of activities — ruins, sinkhole, and Mexican town (Valladolíd) — and the buffet was delicious. The tour company did a good job communicating with us for pickup, and everything was well organized. We recommend this trip to people who want to get out of Cancún and see more of Mexico.
Good tour and can recommendThe guides are nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the whole trip. Special thank you to our guides- Alan and Sami, and the driver Pedro. It was a long trip, but I would add 30 min more at Chichen Itza and Valladolid
I can’t say what my favorite part was. It was an excellent trip all around! First off, Cesar was a great guide. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject of the Mayan culture was beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. I got chills when we were at Chichen Itza. Then, the visit to the cenote was something I never thought I was ever going to do and it was wonderful. Food was great at the cenote buffet. They took great care of us (Alexis, our driver, included.) I felt safe and taken care of. If you want to learn more about the Mayan culture, definitely take this trip. I cannot recommend it enough. You won’t regret it.
Muy bien todo, martin y mauricio personas excelentes, preocupacion por em bienestar de los bisitantes en todo momento, da gusto encontrar gente que le gusta su trabajo y lo vive con pasion
I enjoyed the cenote the best. It was very refreshing on a hot day after walking around chichen itza. The bus provided drinking water, but it wouldn’t hurt to bring your own for some extra.
My favorite part of the trip was definitely swimming in the cenote. Water was very refreshing and the view was amazing. Martin is very knowledgeable and knows a lot of Mayan history and culture. Try the tequila in the small town. Appreciated Mauricio for driving us to and back. Good experience overall.
Da puerto morelos sono venuti a prendermi in navetga al resort, da li è iniziato il tutto che con 62 euro ha occupato una giornata intera pranzo compreso.Qualità prezzo imbattibile
I loved getting to see the Mayan culture in various ways! So beautiful to see the culture and nature
Martin has a depth of knowledge about Mayan history, and it was fun exploring and learning from him. Our driver Mauricio also drove us around very safely.
