The Shrine of Guadalupe Mexico City is ready to be discovered through this virtual visit, one of the most visited religious destinations in the world. Located at the foot of the Tepeyac Hill in northern Mexico City, this National shrine of Mexico houses the cloak containing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. At this place, it is believed that a miracle happened in 1531 when the Virgin Mary appeared to a native man called Juan Diego, whose cloak has become famous throughout the centuries for preserving her sacred image. Since then, this place became a cult site and it is now one of the most important pilgrimage destinations of Catholicism in the world. The Shrine of Guadalupe Mexico City and Juan Diego’s cloak are visited by 10 million people every year, especially around December 12th, Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Feast day.
