Discover Chimalistac Mexico City, a very well-preserved neighborhood, hidden in one of the most beautiful areas in the southern city. Founded during the Colonial times by the Carmelite order, the Chimalistac neighborhood has been occupied since the Aztec period due to its benign location and wonderful climate. In the past, this quarter was well-known for its amazing fruitful, and leafy orchards from the 17th and 18th centuries that inspired prominent painters and even film directors, who captured its beauty in their artworks. Apart from being the scene of important events in the history of the city, Chimalistac Mexico City is nowadays a neighborhood whose residents are very proud of due to its heritage and culture.
