A Mexican Piñata, traditionally made of a clay pot and filled with fruit or candy, is a central component of any Mexican celebration. Using recycled and new paper and other supplies, your local host will take you through the process step by step and share best practices for creating a party-ready piñata. If you will be making a piñata alongside your host, scroll down this page to see what materials you need to have prepared for the best crafting experience. Or just want to watch and learn about the historical and cultural importance of piñatas in Mexico. We will share the meaning of each part of the piñata and its connection with Mexican folklore. Please note that the piñata we will make requires time to dry and therefore cannot be completed in this 60-minute session. By the end of the session, you will have full knowledge of how to create an authentic Mexican Piñata.
