Jour 1 : Chiapa de Corzo
Start your Palenque Tour in the colonial town of Chiapa de Corzo, one of the oldest settlements in Latin America. Known for its rich history and as the gateway to the breathtaking Sumidero Canyon, this charming town offers a glimpse into the past and a peaceful setting for relaxation.
Upon your arrival at the airport, take an independent transfer via taxi or shuttle bus to your accommodation. Once settled, enjoy some free time to rest or explore the town at your leisure. Stroll through its scenic streets, appreciate the colonial architecture, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere.
In the evening, meet your Tour Leader and fellow travelers for a welcome meeting to kick off your adventure. Afterward, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you can begin to immerse yourself in the local cuisine and culture.

Day 2: Chiapa de Corzo - Cañón del Sumidero National Park - Tuxtla Gutiérrez - Puerto Arista
Start your day by leaving Chiapa de Corzo behind and heading to the majestic Sumidero Canyon. Hop on a boat for a scenic ride through this awe-inspiring natural wonder, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush greenery, making it a perfect start to the day.
After the boat tour, we’ll continue to Tuxtla Gutierrez, the regional capital, where you’ll explore its charming historic center. Visit the famous Marimba Museum, where you’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of the marimba, a traditional instrument that plays a vital role in local music.
Next, we’ll travel to Puerto Arista, a peaceful beach town known for its long stretches of golden sand and laid-back vibe. Once there, enjoy the thrill of an ATV ride, taking in the stunning coastal views. In the late afternoon, unwind as you watch a spectacular sunset over the beach.

After that, go to explore the ancient ruins of Yaxchilán Archeological Zone famous for the important Mayan texts found there. Then, transfer to Palenque, one of the Magical Towns in Mexico. It’s a paradise for lovers of archaeology, history, and nature. Eventually, after check-in and rest, join your Tour Leader and the rest of the group for an orientation walk of the center of Palenque followed by an optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.
