Itinerario
Get ready for our Mezcal Tour Mexico! Where flavor, tradition, and scenery come together in an unforgettable day trip! Your adventure begins with a comfortable pick-up from Mexico City, followed by a drive into the countryside, where time slows down and the magic of mezcal awaits.
Our first stop is a traditional mezcal distillery, nestled among agave fields and rolling hills. Here, you’ll take a guided tour through the artisanal process of mezcal-making—from harvesting the agave piñas to roasting, fermenting, and distilling them in underground pits and copper stills. Discover the difference between espadín, tobalá, and other agave varieties while learning about mezcal’s deep cultural roots. Of course, no visit would be complete without a tasting session of several house-made mezcals, each with its own smoky personality and smooth finish.
Next, we’ll travel to Atlixco. We’ll begin with an orientation walk, stopping at a cozy local shop where you can try artisanal chocolate, fresh-baked bread, craft beer, mezcal-based ice cream, and more. With its laid-back vibe and rich traditions, this town is a feast for the senses. We’ll then visit a beautiful colonial-era church and enjoy beautiful views from a nearby lookout perfect for snapping a few unforgettable photos.
After taking in the views, we’ll head to the local market, a buzzing hub of color and culture. Here, you’ll sample regional dishes, taste street snacks, and interact with local vendors as we wander through stalls selling everything from dried chiles to handmade sweets. It’s a culinary playground that reflects the region’s vibrant identity.
To end the day, we’ll visit a magical garden, a serene place filled with lush nurseries, exotic plants, and hidden pathways. Take a leisurely stroll through the greenery, breathe in the fresh air, and let the natural beauty provide the perfect finale to a day full of adventure.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll transfer back to Mexico City, relaxed and enriched by a day of flavors, traditions, and scenic discoveries.
