Itinerario
Prepare for the Mushroom Tour, a unique experience where nature, food, and local traditions come together for an unforgettable day! We’ll begin with an early pickup and head to Acaxochitlán, located about two hours from Mexico City.
Our first stop is Santa Catarina, where a delicious buffet-style breakfast awaits. You’ll get to try a variety of regional dishes, all made with fresh local ingredients, a perfect way to start the day. After breakfast, we’ll head into the nearby oak and patula pine forest. Guided by your expert host, we’ll take a walk to identify and collect edible mushrooms that grow abundantly in the area during the season. It’s not just a hike, it’s a hands-on, sensory journey into the region’s natural bounty.
Once we’ve gathered our mushrooms, it’s time to put them to good use! You’ll take part in a participatory cooking workshop where we’ll prepare a traditional mushroom soup along with other delicious, locally inspired dishes. You’ll then enjoy your meal on-site, sharing this freshly prepared feast with fellow travelers in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we head to the town of Acaxochitlán. Here, we’ll visit the archeological museum to explore the area’s rich history, including artifacts and insights into the region’s pre-Hispanic past. Just a few minutes away, we’ll stop at a local artisan site that showcases handmade crafts and traditional designs. From there, we’ll visit the Parroquia, a historic church that reflects the deep cultural and religious roots of the community.
To top it all off, we’ll visit an artisanal wine and liquor workshop. Here, you’ll learn about the traditional methods used to produce local spirits and taste a variety of handcrafted products. This final stop brings together flavor and craftsmanship in a way that reflects the pride of the region.
As the day winds down, we’ll head back to Mexico City, filled with stories, flavors, and memories of a day well spent in the heart of Acaxochitlán. Ready for a day of wild mushrooms, rich history, and warm hospitality? Let’s go!

Anulaciones

1. Ajuste la hora de inicio del recorrido.
2. Ajusta el tiempo que pasas en cada destino del recorrido.
3. Añadir lugares adicionales de su elección (por ejemplo, atracciones, restaurantes, etc.) al itinerario de forma gratuita si esas visitas.
(1) se ajusten a la duración predeterminada del recorrido, (2) no impliquen un cambio significativo de la ruta ni gastos adicionales (por ejemplo, entradas, peajes, aparcamiento, etc.).
Los cambios distintos de los mencionados conllevarán un recargo y deberán comunicarse al organizador del viaje al menos 72 horas antes del viaje (por ejemplo, en el campo "Requisitos especiales" durante la reserva o por correo electrónico).
